||My uncle Siegfried Nolte, born Nov 13, 1919
in Hohenfriedeberg, Silesia died in WW2 at Okt 22, 1942 in west Caucasia.
He had this picture in his wallet and it got torn by the
same bullet that killed him.
Already at the age of 20 he was very interested in
ancestry research, wrote letters to parishes or visited them by train and
bicycle to search the old church books. He left a handwritten family tree
which is even more valuable since many records got lost in the war. As far
